'AI + Elderly Care' becomes reality

Updated: 2024-06-25

Leveraging artificial intelligence technology, including the application of visual "stick figure" front-end AI cameras and smart mattresses, Beijing E-Town has established the city's first smart elderly care health monitoring system.

Entering the Elderly Service Station in Ronghua Street in Beijing E-Town, several staff members are seen having a discussion in front of a screen. When an "actor" falls, a "stick figure" on the screen also falls, accompanied by a monitoring alert sound.

This screen is part of the smart elderly care health monitoring system that is being used at the Elderly Service Station in Ronghua Street.

Whenever someone passes through the monitored area, a corresponding "stick figure" moves on the screen, displaying monitoring status phrases such as "breathing-normal" and "heart rate-normal."

By clicking the taskbar on the left, information about the monitored individuals, such as data and location, can be viewed in real-time.

The realization of this smart monitoring system relies on the innovative use of the "stick figure" technology front-end AI camera and the non-invasive measurement smart mattress.

If someone falls at home, the "stick figure" front-end AI camera transmits the monitoring information and footage in real-time to the station's screen and the guardian's mobile phone.

Additionally, the smart mattress, tailored for disabled elderly people, monitors various physiological data in real-time, such as heart rate, urinary wetness, breathing and sleep conditions. When abnormal data or urinary wetness are detected, an automatic alarm is triggered.
